Used in aerospace applications, the aluminum housings pictured here were custom manufactured by Gen-El-Mec Associates, Inc. for a client in Connecticut.

Constructed from 6061-T6 aluminum, we used our CNC vertical milling center and lathe to machine these components, which enabled us to hold tolerances to ±.0002″. Featuring overall dimensions of 8″ in diameter and ranging from 2″ to 6″ in height, we utilized our Zeiss CMM at all critical stages of manufacturing to ensure that each component, with their varying shape and complexity, met the customer’s quality specifications.
