Deburring Technician

Gen-El-Mec Associates, LLC is seeking a skilled Deburring Technician to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for deburring parts to specifications, performing assembly duties as needed, and assisting in various tasks throughout the manufacturing process. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and functionality of our products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use hand tools and machinery to deburr and finish parts, ensuring all products are smooth, free of sharp edges, and meet quality standards.
  • Perform basic assembly tasks as required to support production timelines.
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine the best method for deburring and finishing.
  • Inspect and measure finished products to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to optimize production processes.
  • Report any issues with equipment or inconsistencies in product quality to the supervisor immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the production team.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a related field is a plus
  • Proven experience in deburring, metal fabrication, or a similar role in manufacturing
  • Familiarity with using hand tools and deburring equipment
  • Keen eye for detail and a commitment to achieving high-quality results
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings and blueprints
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Shop Helper

Gen-El-Mec Associates, LLC is looking for an energetic and organized Shop Helper to assist with various tasks around our shop. The role includes saw cutting, deburring, cleaning, and performing other support duties as needed. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, hands-on environment and is eager to contribute to all aspects of our operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate saws for cutting materials according to specified measurements.
  • Assist with deburring duties to ensure smooth and clean edges on metal parts.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shop, including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Provide assistance in various areas of the shop as required, including moving materials, packaging, and basic machine operation.
  • Collaborate with other team members to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Report any issues with equipment or inventory shortages to the supervisor promptly.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in a shop or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate power tools and machinery used for cutting and deburring.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to work quality.
  • Capable of following written and verbal instructions.
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
